You can look forward to these exciting events happening in and around Noosa this April. Catch these Noosa Events 2019.

Australian Body Art Festival 2019

Enjoy the Australian Body Art Festival from Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April 2019 at Apex Park, Maple Street, Cooroy.

The Australian Body Art Festival is a commemoration of body painting, and draws artists and visitors from around Australia and overseas. There are competitions and shows of body and face painting, wearable art (fashion from recycled materials), as well as entertainment and music. You'll have heaps of fun at the event.

The theme for this year is 'Other Worlds'.

This yearly festival of colour and entertainment will ignite the imagination of artists, models and spectators.

Red Hot Summer Tour in Noosa

Don't miss the concert on Saturday 13 April 2019 at Noosa and District Sports Complex, Tewantin (Pony Club Grounds). The event will be from 1-9.20pm.

The Red Hot Summer Tour rolls down Noosa with John Farnham, Jon Stevens, Vanessa Amorosi, Daryl Braithwaite, Thirsty Merc and Dragon.

Tickets will be sold starting Thursday 6 September at 9 am through Ticketmaster.

This is eighteen years and over event.

Bristols to Noosa National Rally and Show

Don't miss the show from 28 April to 5 May 201 around Noosa.

The Bristol Car Club of Australia will be having its biennial rally in Noosa. Seven couples from the UK will be shipping their unique cars to tour Australia and take part in the week-long rally and display.

From the UK, two 1953 403 models and four in demand after 1955 405 convertibles will be joining the rally, along with a more contemporary 603 from 1976.

A 32 from Australia will also be on display in the Noosa Woods, at the end of Hastings Street, on Monday 29 April from 10 am.

Touring drives will happen over the next three. The touring drives will take place in Noosa Hinterland.

The standout event will be the day trip by four-wheel drive buses to Fraser Island. Fraser Island is the world’s biggest sand island.

The Bristol Aeroplane Company made Bristol cars after World War II. Their craftsmen are evident in vehicles. They have hand-beaten, magnificently curved and streamlined aluminium bodies. There are only small numbers of each model, so each hand-made model is rare and in demand.

Daylight Saving

Enjoy the play from April 15 - May 4 at Noosa Arts Theatre.

Laugh out loud at this hilarious comedy. Flick is a thriving restaurateur struggling with a ‘gay chef ‘crisis. Her husband, Tom, will miss their wedding anniversary as he manages a young anxious tennis pro, Jason. Jason is having problems with his psychic. With an unexpected visit from an old flame, infidelity could be a possibility.

However, Flick’s plans for a romantic reunion go haywire when a stressed-out neighbour, Stephanie, keeps dropping by, and Bunty, Flick’s meddlesome mother, won't leave the house.

Nick Enright (Cloudstreet, The Boy from Oz), one of Australia's foremost playwrights, wrote this gem of a play. Daylight Saving is a witty, energetic comedy about love, loneliness, food and friendship.

Tania Nash will direct the play.

Voyage by Neo Vida Dance Company

Save the dates and catch Voyage from Friday 5 & Saturday 6 April 2019.

Neo Vida, present "Voyage". Neo Vida is a well-known Sunshine Coast dance company. Honouring painters and redefining an artist across media and performance art, Neo Vida’s performance of “Voyage” is thought-provoking.

“Voyage” interprets the subject matter or narrative content of various paintings into an expression of dance. The paintings are the inspiration and storyline. Costumes and characters will be portraying the figures, landscapes or feelings in the paintings. The dancers will conscientiously reference the textures and colours of the chosen artwork. This will transform the artwork into beautiful images on stage as conveyed by the dance.

The dancers will present brilliantly layered dance art forms which will result in a compelling performance. This will be an incredible show.

The Songs of Dolly Parton

Dan Sultan – Aviary Takes Tour

Catch Dan Sultan live on Saturday 27 April 2019 at 8 pm. The show will be at The J Noosa.

2018 has been a difficult year for Dan Sultan. He had gone on a six- month hiatus to recharge and readjust. Now he is ready to face new and exciting endeavours.

Aviary Takes will be the first project out of the gate. It is a collection of older back catalogue songs and some new tracks including a couple of fresh covers and original tunes stripped down and all recorded in ‘one vocal take’ at The Aviary Studios in Melbourne. Hence, the title.

The Aviary Takes collection will come out early in 2019. To commemorate its release, Sultan will go back out on the road with a guitar and a keyboard to entertain the audiences with his songs, some new anecdotes, and a couple of bad ‘dad’ jokes thrown in.

Dan will traverse the country in regional areas.

He is looking forward to hitting the road and performing the combination of new, old and rearranged songs.
