Celebrating the golden age of cycling at Noosa Strade Bianche, Australia’s premier vintage cycling festival with 3 routes through hinterland villages, a vintage bicycle show and shine, and a swap meet.

The event, in the vein of the famous L’Eroica in Italy, is for steel-framed bikes with downtube shifters or bar-end shifters only.
There are 3 routes:
Piccolo Fondo – 33km
Medio Fondo – 82km
NSB Mark Dolan Gran Fondo – 135km
Saturday morning kicks the weekend off with the 33km Piccolo Fondo – perfect for those wanting an introduction to the ‘strade bianche’, or gravel roads. This shorter event still has a fairly demanding gravel climb and descent, but is easier than the main events on Sunday.
The Medio Fondo runs in conjunction with the longer rides, and all share the same route as far as just before Cooran but still plenty of strade bianche for the discerning gravel rider.
The Medio Fondo removes the Kin Kin sector, making for a slightly easier 82km ride. Participating riders will enjoy quiet, picturesque country roads which run through the Noosa hinterland.
Two refreshment stations will provide water, bananas and other free delicacies. Don’t forget to stamp your Brevet Card.
The Gran Fondo includes several additional sectors of ‘strade bianche’; the ‘white’ or gravel roads with the punishing Shadbolt Road climbs and white-knuckle descents off the ‘Gap’ and ‘Gentle Annie’.
Several refreshment stops will provide water, bananas and other free delicacies. Expect other delicious treats at the other refuelling stops on the northern loop!
