This year, Queensland celebrates diversity through a three-day festival for the LGBTIQ community. Dubbed as the Sunshine Coast Pride Festival, this colourful celebration to be held from February 26-28, 2016 will provide a fun and interactive avenue for the LGBTIQ community, their family and friends to partake in the several curated events, activities and entertainment for everyone.
A Pride Party Night on the 26th of February at The Reef Hotel, Noosa Heads, will jumpstart the festival. If you’re going, expect heaps of drag shows, DJ and the Queen's Ball Awards that will last from 8 in the evening until 3 in the morning. Door charge costs only $10.
Head on to Eumundi Markets on the 27th for the Pride Fair Day and groove to the beat of the music, street entertainment, explore and find awesome bargains from the market stalls, and let your little ones enjoy the kids' fun zone. Dog lovers are also in for a treat because glamorous dogs and their owners will be assembling to take participate in the Pride Paws Parade.
