 AUSTRALIA ZOO
Home to the internationally famous 'Crocodile Hunter’, Steve Irwin, Australia Zoo has a collection of 550 animals including crocodiles, tigers, koalas, snakes and the world’s oldestgiant land tortoise. Don’t miss the demonstrations featuring snakes, otters, camels, foxes and - the 1.30pm daily highlight – crocodiles!

One of the Sunshine Coast’s most popular and enduring tourist attractions, the famousEumundi Markets are held Wednesday and Saturday mornings, rain, hail or shine. The largest ginger factory in the Southern Hemisphere has an amazing array of ginger-based products and ginger plants to take home. Kids will love the Overboard Boat Ride, the historic cane train ride, dolls’ cottage and wildlife sanctuary.
Clip Clop Horse Treks welcomes riders and non-riders to join a trek, make new friends and enjoy a 'taste of the outback'. Relive the steam train era with a trip of the historic "Valley Rattler" through the beautifulMary Valley. You’ll pass through the villages of Dagun (and enjoy wine and cheese tasting), Amamoor, Kandanga and stop for lunch in Imbil.
Built on the site of an old mine, the museum offers a fascinating glimpse of Gympie’s gold rush era. Among the displays are a one-teacher school room, Andrew Fisher House, the Lighthorse Museum, sports, music, transport, photographic equipment and ambulance. Learn how gold is mined in Gympie today and you can even pan for gold.
For the ultimate adrenalin rush, dive with sharks, accompanied by experienced divers. Scuba World is located at The Wharf, Mooloolaba.
Don’t miss a visit to the uniquely designed Ettamogah Pub, based on the famous cartoon.Located just north of the Caloundra turnoff, the Ettamogah Pub is part of Aussie World, where you’ll find a whole host of attractions, including an Aboriginal arts and culturalcentre, bush camp, sheep shearing demonstrations, pony rides, mini golf and restaurants.

You’ll literally get lost in Australia’s largest maze so don’t forget your breadcrumbs! The watered skid pan is popular with kids of all ages, plus there’s a walk-through aviary.
Test your skills, and nerves, around Australia’s largest track. There’s also night racing under floodlights and a separate kids’ track. Off-track, the Bungy Bullet will propel you 50 metres high into the sky in just over a second!
Step back in time at this medieval castle, complete with dungeon torture chamber and medieval as well as a wonderful doll collection which would delight any little girl. The castle has a kiosk and a gift and souvenir shop.
Two large lakes are open year-round for thrills and spills - from beginners to advanced.You can enjoy hours of fun cable skiing, surfing, knee boarding or wave jumping.
The park features plenty of fun activities for the kids, including two 18 hole mini golfcourses (one undercover), bump boats, an indoor climbing wall and video arcade.
Learn about the early timber cutters through demonstrations of early timber cutting techniques and a working replica of a steam-driven sawmill. There’s a fascinating display of early equipment and transportation, plus a blacksmith shop and bark hut.
An educational and fun day out, the honey factory offers Australia’s only live beekeeping demonstration and the chance to taste 28 types of honey!.
A Sunshine Coast icon and a fun day for the whole family. Take a train ride through Australia’s only working pineapple plantation open to the public. It’s a tropical paradise of fruit orchards and pineapple fields, and home to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest macadamia nut factory. Kids can feed the farm animals and get up close to nocturnal creatures at the Creatures of the Night attraction. Every kid’s dream, a Willy Wonka-type chocolate factory is opening in October. Don’t leave without tucking into a traditional style fruit parfait.
