In September, Noosa Australia comes alive to the sound of jazz. Noosa Queensland is known for its superb restaurants and fabulous sunshine coast weather and when these two features are combined with jazz music they make a stunning combination.

Recognised as one of Noosa’s premiere cultural events and one of Australia’s most popular Jazz industry gatherings, the Noosa Jazz Festival brings more than 150 Australian and International artists to Noosa, producing an impressive four-day jazz celebration. 
 

Noosa Beach Car Classic

26th September 2010

The Noosa Beach Classic Car Club has been running this event since 1988. It has become one of the most prestigious ' Classic Car Shows ' of the year in Australia, and is featured in many prominent motoring magazines around the world.

Some of the past 'Marques of the Year' have been Ferrari, Porche, Lamborghini, Maserati, Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Corvette.

It has been Australia’s most popular triathlon for 27 years and reaches capacity earlier each year, drawing 8,000 competitors to the Olympic-distance (1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run) challenge that also lures our top professionals.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Noosa Historic Hill Climb  

The Historic Noosa Hill Climb, affectionately known as 'The Hill', had its inaugural run in 1998 and has just recently celebrated its 11th Anniversary. 'The Hill' is a combined event run by the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club and the Historic Racing Car Club (Qld).

Over these 12 years The Hill has developed into a first class event with many well known racing personalities from across Australia as well as local Queensland racing identities all vying to be the fastest on the day.

The Hill is seductively attractive to drivers. Fourteen corners in lightning succession are a few too many for easy recollection – and they all have their tricks. There is a good hot mix surface – thanks to the support of Noosa Council, plus the spice of steep banks on one side, (offering an easy route to inversion) and of awesome drop-offs on the other.

One big highlight of the 3 day festival is the Opening Concert and Welcome Party.  This is a lively evening of great food and wine with a dazzling light show and music performances by The Australian Bee Gees.

Explore the food and wine village, take in a celebrity chef cooking demonstration, feast on produce from the culinary exhibit, enjoy great picnic food prepared by national food critics and enjoy a live concert by The Nick Latta Trio, followed by the soulful and talented voice of Emma Pask as she joins with the Dan Barnett Big Band in a Tribute to Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. After a day of sensational wine and champagne tasting sessions and inspiring cooking demonstrations in the grand marquee, get into the mood for a dance with Rebecca O’Connor’s Simply The Best concert, Europe’s #1 Tina Turner Tribute show. Supported by soul, jazz, grooves The Map Project, this day and this concert will offer something for all ages!
